This film explores the daily lives of the inhabitants of a typical blue-collar neighborhood in Jilin City. Change is taking place everywhere around the neighborhood and daily life there can only resist so long before finally giving in to its force. This film presents the filmmaker's own views about the issue by using simple scenes and montage contrasts to depict the neighborhood before and after change knocked on its door.
