This film is one of the outcomes of ‘Learn Our Own Tradition: a Participatory Video Education Project’, funded by the Ford Foundation. It was filmed by Sunnuo Qilin, a Tibetan potter from Tangdui, Shangri-La, Yunnan, and his family. Using a digital camera provided by the project, Sunnuo Qilin began filming the daily life of his family and his village in 2000. Also as part of the project, he organized screenings and taught children about pottery-making, in hope of instilling a sense of pride in their pottery making tradition.
