Donor: Conservation International (CI) Sanjiangyuan Environment Protection Association, a non profit and non governmental organization, was founded in November 2001. The Green Community Network is a long-term sustainable development program in Tibetan communities implemented in coordination with Conservation International (CI) and co-funded by CEPF. The program aims to: help Tibetan communities of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau to go green, allow indigenous populations to influence and participate in policies that affect their economic production, enable them as owners to create a model of decision-making regarding the use and protection of natural resources.
 Zhaxi Duojie and other colleagues from Sanjiangyuan Environment Protection Association visited the communities and monasteries of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau to listen to the herdsmen and investigate their current situation. They mapped the holy mountains and sacred lakes, recorded their history and natural resources, and surveyed their current conservation status.
