This film follows a group of university student volunteers as they take part in the New Rural Reconstruction Movement in Wulan Village, located in central Inner Mongolia. Full of enthusiasm, the volunteers set out to help the villagers build a cooperative and give a boost to the local economy. However, things don’t go smoothly, and they realize there is a great difference between their dreams and reality.
