Gongbu is a Tibetan peasant who leads a simple and monotonous life. He has concerns and worries, but does not let them rule his life. He fulfills his responsibilities, works hard, but also enjoys the company of his friends, drinking, gambling and singing. When his wife gives birth to a son, after six daughters, what more could he ask for? If happiness means hope and its satisfaction, confidence in the future and peace of mind, then Gongbu is indeed a happy man.
